Chase Brunson is positioned to be a rising star within the Horned Frogs baseball lineup. Hailing from San Clemente, California, Brunson had a stellar high school baseball career before becoming a freshman outfielder at TCU.

A High School Standout

Brunson's journey in baseball began at San Clemente High School, where he showcased his exceptional skills on the field. Drafted in the 18th round of the 2023 MLB First-Year Player Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays, Brunson was named the team MVP and league MVP during his senior year. His impressive stats, including leading the league in all offensive categories, solidified his reputation as a formidable player.

 

Propelling TCU to Victory

Brunson is already off to a promising start with a remarkable performance against Abilene Christian, securing his first career hit (a double) and launching his first career home run. His contributions helped secure a 3-1 lead, ultimately leading the TCU Horned Frogs to victory over the Abilene Christian Wildcats with a final score of 7-5.
